Vacuum Degasser

Normally vacuum degasser is installed after shale shaker and widely used in various drilling mud system. It is very important for recovering mud weight, stabilize mud viscosity performance, reduce drilling cost. The vacuum pump is driven by an explosion-proof motor and produces a low pressure condition inside the chamber that helps release the gas bubbles from the mud when the drilling mud is delivered to the degasser's mud inlet connection. The size and capacity of the vacuum degasser will depend on the size of the drilling rig and the volume of mud that is being circulated.Vacuum degassers are relatively easy to operate and maintain.

How Vacuum Degasser Works:

1. The drilling mud is pumped into the degasser's mud inlet connection.
2. The mud flows through a series of baffles and screens, which help to break up the gas bubbles.
3. The vacuum pump creates a low-pressure condition inside the degasser's chamber. This helps to draw the gas bubbles out of the mud.
4. The degassed mud is then discharged from the degasser's mud outlet connection.
